IUPAT DC 53 Expresses Thanks to Kokosing Construction and North Star Painting Company for Contributing to the Renovation of Memorial Toll Bridge

The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) District Council 53 is making remarkable progress in the restoration of the Memorial Toll Bridge in Parkersburg, WV, thanks to the efforts of Kokosing Construction and North Star Painting Company.

As the construction project nears its scheduled completion in later this fall, IUPAT DC 53 used up to 5,000 gallons of zinc, 5,500 gallons of intermediate, and 3,000 gallons of finish have been utilized to paint the bridge, giving it a new lease of life.

By using local members of IUPAT DC 53, both companies have not only ensured top-notch quality but also contributed to the growth and prosperity of the Mid Ohio Valley community.

The decision to employ a dedicated workforce, including journeyperson and apprentices from IUPAT DC 53, has been a pivotal factor in the successful execution of the project.

This collaborative approach has allowed for the skill development and keeping local workers local, ensuring that the MOV remains a hub of skilled craftsmanship for years to come!
