Third-Year Glazing Apprentices Advance Skills with FTI Training Center Instruction

Our 3rd year glazing apprentices were back at the FTI Training Center this week for knowledge-based testing and hands-on instruction.

They’ve been working through an introduction to welding, learning the basics and building off what was learned on the job site. In addition, they’ve practiced swapping out door hardware, adjusting doors, and prepping curtain wall materials.

A big focus has also been on moving and organizing materials for upcoming classes.

They were also visited by Director of Servicing (North) Harold Keller to discuss any questions they had about the union or training.

This kind of training helps track their progress and prepare them for what’s ahead.
