IUPAT DC 53 Embarks on CORE Project at Jefferson Elementary Center
The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 53 (IUPAT DC 53), was at Jefferson Elementary Center in Wood County, WV for a Community Organizing for Real Economics (CORE) Project. This project aims to enhance the educational facilities at Jefferson.
The CORE Project was initiated when the IUPAT DC 53 was reached out for assistance with refurbishing the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms, along with the corridor at the school after the staff recognized the need for a fresh look to uplift the school environment for the benefit of the students and staff.
The CORE Project at Jefferson represents a community organization for real economics, embodying the union’s dedication to building strong relationships within the jurisdiction of DC 53.
As the IUPAT DC 53 continues to grow its union and the organized labor movement, community-oriented projects like the CORE Project at Jefferson play a pivotal role in creating a positive and lasting impact on the lives of individuals in the region.
IUPAT DC 53 hopes that this initiative will inspire other organizations and individuals to come together and collaborate for the betterment of our communities.
